What this Site is, and is not
This Site shares educational content about mental health, Sean Goddard's books, speaking, and training programs. It is not a patient portal, a clinical intake channel, or a place to seek medical care. Please do not submit health information through this Site. If you are seeking treatment, contact Viking Psychiatry & Wellness through vikingpsychiatry.com. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you subscribe to our blog updates or join a program waitlist, we collect the information you enter, typically your name and email address. Providing it is voluntary. We ask that you never include health, financial, or other sensitive personal information in any form on this Site.
Information collected automatically. Our website platform, Kajabi, sets cookies necessary for the Site to function and keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) as part of operating and securing the service. We also use Metricool, a web analytics service, to measure aggregate site activity such as the number of visits and pages viewed. Metricool’s measurement tag does not set cookies on your device, does not store your IP address, and does not assign you a unique identifier; the data we receive is anonymous and aggregated, and we use it only to understand how the Site is used. We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site trackers on this Site. If our analytics practices change, this policy will be updated first.
How we use information
We use the information you provide to send you the updates you asked for (such as new blog posts or program announcements), to respond when you contact us, and to operate and protect the Site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
You will only receive marketing email from us if you opt in, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that works with one click. Unsubscribing stops marketing email immediately; we may retain your address on a suppression list so we do not email you again.
Service providers
We use a small number of companies to run this Site, principally Kajabi (website hosting, forms, and email delivery). These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations. We do not authorize them to use your information for anything other than providing their services to us.
Data retention
We keep subscriber information for as long as you remain subscribed, and form submissions for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose you submitted them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from email at any time, and you may email seang@seangpsychnp.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We honor such requests regardless of where you live, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
Children
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We rely on our platform's safeguards, access controls, and encryption in transit to protect information on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting subscribers will be announced by email.
